Biochem/physiol Actions
The Notch signaling pathway regulates endothelial-cell differentiation, proliferation and apoptosis, and is essential for the development, maintenance and remodeling of the vascular system. Notch signaling pathway is involved in the development and progress of cardiovascular diseases. Notch1 function is predominant in developing kidney compared to compared to the mature organ.
